After three years of growth, the Polish lifting equipment market fell -X% to $X in 2021. Between 2012 and 2021, the market value has grown at an average annual rate of +X%; however, the trend pattern indicates that some notable fluctuations were recorded throughout the analysis period. Russia (unit X), South Africa (unit X) and the United States (unit X) are the main destinations for Polish hoisting equipment exports, which together account for X% of total exports. From 2012 to 2021, among the major destination countries, the most significant growth rate in shipments is Russia (+X% CAGR), while the growth rates of other leaders are more moderate.

In value terms, Russia ($X) became the main foreign market for Polish lifting equipment exports, accounting for X% of total exports. In second place is Singapore ($X) with X% of total exports. It is followed by the United States with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of the value to Russia reaches +X%. Exports to other major destinations recorded the following average annual export growth rates: Singapore (+X% per annum) and the United States (+X% per annum).

Import Scale of Lifting Equipment in Poland
Overseas purchases of lifting equipment in 2021 fell -X% to X units for the first time since 2017, ending a three-year upward trend. Overall, however, imports have grown significantly. Growth was the fastest in 2020, up X% from the previous year. As a result, imports peaked at X units and then contracted significantly the following year.

In value terms, hoisting equipment imports have shrunk significantly to $X in 2021. However, imports recorded strong growth during the period under review. The growth rate was most pronounced in 2020, when imports increased by X% over the previous year. As a result, imports peaked at X dollars before falling sharply the following year.

Germany (X units), Austria (X units) and China (X units) are the main suppliers of lifting equipment imports to Poland, together accounting for X% of total imports. From 2012 to 2021, the largest increase was in Austria (+X% CAGR), while other leaders saw more modest growth in purchasing.

The largest lifting equipment suppliers in Poland by value are Germany ($X), Austria ($X) and Sweden ($X), which together account for X% of total imports. In terms of major suppliers, Austria registered a CAGR of +X% and recorded the highest growth in import value during the period under review, while other leading suppliers saw more modest growth in purchases.

Statistics of various crane suppliers in Poland
By value, Poland’s largest suppliers of lifting equipment are Germany, Austria and Sweden, which together account for 83% of total imports.

In value terms, Russia became the main foreign market for Polish lifting equipment exports, accounting for 38% of total exports. Singapore came in second with 14% of total exports. It is followed by the United States with a share of 12%.

The average export price of lifting equipment in 2021 is $3,995 per unit, a 74% increase from the previous year.

The average import price of hoisting equipment in 2021 is US$2,714 per unit, an increase of 18% year-on-year.
