After update game wont start

Since the latest update I click play game and nothing happens. I click Play Game again and the game won't start saying "app already in use" or something like that. What happened? Are the developers fixing this? MAC OS X 10.6.8

I'm having the exact same issue! Mac OS 10.7.5. I did try to install the game on my Bootcamp Vista Drive and it worked just fine so at least I can still play but would rather play on the mac. I have the steam version and the War Child DLC.

I'm also having this problem. Downloaded the newest update from Steam. OS X 10.10.3.
Update
Simply uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick. All good now.
