Dear All,

I was able to play This War of Mine on my computer for the past couple of days.

Since this game does not offer any in-game save option, from time to time, I pressed alt+tab to get back to Windows desktop and terminated the game through Task Manager. It has been working well ever since I installed this program (through Steam).

This afternoon when one of my characters was about to die, I used this trick again. However, all of a sudden I could no longer launch the game. Now, if I click on the shortcut trying to start the game, the screen will turn dark (as the computer is turning into the full-screen mode). After a few seconds of waiting, the following error message will pop up.

[This War of Mine.exe has stopped working.]

A problem caused the program to start correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
===

I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling the program several times through both the Steam console and Windows Control Panel. Nonetheless, I still see the same error message.

I have also tried to run the program in Windows 8 compatible mode but just in vain.

I wonder if anyone knows how to resolve this problem?

The OS of my computer is Windows 8.

The war ended but i can't watch the epilogue because the same error occurs.

In my case, the error didn't show up until my team survived 45 days in the game for the first time.

I was able to watch the epilogue, but when I restart the game using the 2nd team, after a few days in the game time, the error occurred.
