Out of range problem

So i downloaded the game from steam tryed to play it but when i started the game up it said out of range now this shouldent be that big of a deal as im almost sure the game just starts on a higer res [mine is 1280 1024] like whit a lot of games i start on steam so i took a look in the options but couldnt find the res setings i also looked in my documents if the games setings were located there but i could not find it now i hope that by posting this some 1 can help me and thereby maby also other poeple.

so i found a site which gives you a new config file for the game which you need to replace the old 1 for this makes you go windowed mode but i still dont know how to go fullscreen whitout going out of range

hope i find the full fix gus just chancing res in the options and going fullscreen dident work for me
