[solved] linux - X Error of failed request: BadLength

Hello all,

I cannot start anomaly. The message from the command line is:
$ anomaly
GLX_EXT_swap_control not supported, unable to set vertical sync.
OpenAL sound device name: PulseAudio Default
X Error of failed request: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error)
Major opcode of failed request: 135 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (X_GLXRender)
Serial number of failed request: 3747
Current serial number in output stream: 3748
Segmentation fault


My system is linux fedora 16, with nvidia driver (NVIDIA 290.10)

Hi,

64bit I presume? I had the same problem with 64bit system. Solved it by installing:

xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.i686

Sorry for necromancing this post, but this is the first result that comes up when searching the forums for this error with, so I'll chime in here with the Debian (Wheezy) version of this fix:

aptitude install libgl1-nvidia-glx:i386
